We've been watching all the old Star Trek movies recently and discussing the wrong world view with the kids. We've had some great discussions, but Rowdy floored me when he said that when he was a boy, Star Trek and Star Wars and movies like them caused him to question the truth of Christianity. I asked him what made him stick with Christ and he couldn't say.
The Lord, in His providence, brought a DVD to my attention a couple of days later. Vision Forum's Doug Phillips has addressed this issue thoroughly in Science Fiction and Christianity. Dalton has listened to the whole thing and keeps telling me things he's learned. I've listened to bits and pieces and it is fascinating. It's a DVD and a bonus 2-CD set. Well worth the purchase!
