I suppose I shouldn't even mention our house plans since they keep changing! The other day we nearly had a fire in this old trailer house. After much, MUCH searching, Rowdy finally found the culprit in the water heater. Not only had it had a little fire, but it was leaking at the bottom and the floor was rotting as a result. All in all, we had to buy a new water heater. We also had to air out the house overnight, with the kids sleeping at their grandma's and us in the horse trailer.
I hate having to spend money on this house because it comes out of my new house fund. However, we are trying to keep the attitude that it's God's money and He will direct how to spend it. And He will provide the resources for the new house. He's already given us the iron trusses.
We've changed sites again for the house, because the electric company will provide 700 ft. of line for free, so we moved the house site close enough to the nearest pole for that to happen. Not first choice for either of us, but oh, well. We'll get into it faster this way.

Viola update
I've only had one lesson so far, but I've done a lot of practicing, and I'm loving it! The violin has strings G, D, A, E and the viola has C, G, D, A. Three strings are the same, so I've been able to practice out of Tana's book. I'm trying to catch up to her.
I can already see that it's made it a lot more fun for her when I'm practicing, too. She can correct me at times, and I can clown around to help her keep her spirits light. Sometimes she gets very frustrated and then there are tears. My practicing with her tends to keep that from happening.

What Have I Done?
I've signed up to learn viola, that's what! I didn't want to compete with Tana and her violin lessons, and I like the deeper sound of the viola. And when I asked if it were possible to take viola lessons in the same group where Tana is learning, they jumped all over it! We need viola players, they said. And they have one I can borrow until I manage to purchase one. My lesson is right before Tana's, with the same teacher, Mr. Leonard Kacenjar, maestro. Starting next Friday.
What have I done?!

House Update
After much consideration, and sidetracking, we are forging ahead with plans to build. We are going to use chicken house trusses and just make a simple square or rectangular house. We've already started cutting the trees and clearing the spot.
As you can see, right now the house site is just a cow pasture. Tana has her foot on a rock that marks one corner of the future house.
GREAT NEWS!!! We have been given a number of chicken house trusses! Yes, given! That saves us almost $2,000 and is God's message to me that I need to trust Him more than I've done lately. I got the message. Sorry, Lord. Thank You!
