Tana has been taking fiddle lessons for about 6 months now and my viola lessons have gone for about 5 months. We had a recital at the end of May. Unfortunately I was too sick to play, but Tana played, and played beautifully!
Very few of the students played with the piano accompaniment. We only practiced with the piano one afternoon. Tana may have been a little nervous, but she didn't let it show.
She did a great job! She has made more progress than other students in her first six months of lessons. As evidenced by the fact that we have joined the Super Group, which is the amateur strings orchestra that Mr. K conducts. I'm told it usually takes students a year to be ready for this. Of course, we only participate in 3 or 4 songs so far. But we are having so much fun!
